Simple pleasures

I miss having a washer and dryer inside my apartment…

After procrastinating for a few days, I went down to the laundry room a little while ago with a basket full of dirty clothes. There was someone already in the room, and he tried opening the door for me, even though it was already open. But it was his next move that I truly appreciated.

When he left the room and took the elevator back up, I started thinking about how long I would have to wait for that damn elevator to come back down (I wasn’t in a stair mood).

To my surprise, when I walked up to the elevator, it had already been sent back down for me. Personally, it’s something I try and do often for people (that I don’t dislike), but I don’t ever expect it done for me. So, Mr. laundry room guy, if you happen to read this, thank you. Whenever I start to lose my fate in humanity, someone reminds me that there are still some good people in the world.
